March was great! We had to pull out extra tables at the last minute to accomodate more players than we expected--hopefully this is a trend, and we'll continue to grow so quickly. Thanks again to everbody who has been bringing friends, to encourage this, you may notice player of the year points being added to your total for it...Anyway, the results: Emilio Ressurrecction was unstoppable again, as he went 6/0/0 to become tournament champion. Bill Yapp was by himself at 5/0/0 for second place. Third place was somewhat disputed (one of the weaknessess of the swiss-system style tournament) but Matt Gorman ended up beating me in a blitz game for third place--good job. We had a lot of new players, and many new young players again. Something cool I noticed was that nobody in the tournament lost all their games--I guess we are filling out the competition well. Also, if we have so many players again next time (June 14th) -- or more-- we should be able to play two tiers of competion, that way, we'll all get as many good games as possible.
