Results from June '08
June is usually a pretty busy month for everybody, and that showed when it came time to count the number of players present at the tournament.  The players who were there, however, matched up perfectly for fantastic competition!  Emilio Ressurreccion was finally stopped after 25 straight wins!!  He finished at 4/1/1 for second place.  Josh Persons went 4/2/0 for third, and the big story was the champion, at 6-0...Justin Rajsky!!  It was no easy feat either...he came into the tournament rated sixth, then beat #5, #4, #3 and #1, plus the other two opponents he faced.  Justin gained 7.7 points in the ratings, which is the most ever gained in one tournament...Great job!  Nathaniel Sebenste went 3-3 to win the tier 2 prize, which is really impressive when you realize there was no tier 2--he was playing the tier 1 opponents.  We also had three players new to our tournament: Jake, Ted, and Dakota, all of whom did very well.  Also worth mentioning was Noah Sebenste who pulled off the second biggest upset of the day with his fourth round victory.  Well it was another great one, and we hope to see more of our players back for September.  Until then, keep 'em on the board, C.
